Best Can-Am X3 Turbo Exhausts of 2021

Whether you want a different sound or you’re looking for performance gains, there are many options on the market for the Can-Am X3 Turbo. A simple ECU flash or programmer is a quick and easy route, but if you really want to maximize the gains, a performance exhaust system can add some noticeable ponies as well.

Increasing horsepower aside, there are many UTV riders that would simply like a different sound out of their SXS. Many others like the sportier look that a performance exhaust system adds to your ride. For those riders, a simple slip on exhaust is a great option because it changes the look and sound of your machine without requiring you to purchase a different programmer or ECU.

For those wanting to maximize performance gains though, a full exhaust system is the only way to go. Because a full exhaust changes the way the machine behaves, a change in programming is needed to make sure that your fuel isn’t running a lean condition. Changing out the ECU or a programmer for your X3 unlocks its full potention, especially when paired with a full exhaust system.

HMF Racing Performance Dual Full Exhaust System

HMF exhausts feature a full throaty sound, without most of the heavy drone that effects some other exhaust systems on the market. They’re relatively quiet compared to the stock Can-Am X3 exhaust, increasing the sound to only 10 dB louder than stock. The entire system weighs about 14.5 lbs, significantly less than the stock exhaust system.

The Performance Series features dual aluminum silencers paired with a stainless steel downpipe. The downpipe includes a flex joint and custom laser-cut heatshield that mounts to the downpipe, along with a welded bung for your O2 sensor.

HMF offers repacking services for their exhaust systems by sending in your system for their expert maintenance. Each exhaust system is made in the USA and features a two year warranty.

Empire Industries Dual Slip On Exhaust

If you’re looking for a deeper exhaust note, but still want something relatively quiet like the factory Can-Am X3 system, then the Empire Industries Dual Slip On Exhaust is an excellent choice.

The dual 6061 Aluminum silencers with billet end caps are a simple slip on system without a new downpipe, so gains are relatively modest in terms of HP and torque. However, the sweet exhaust note sounds much better than stock to us without being annoyingly loud. The construction also saves some weight and looks much better than the stock generic Can-Am setup.

The Empire Industries exhaust is qvailable in brushed finish, Black Ceramic finish and polished.

Agency Power Valvetronic Exhaust System Can-Am Maverick X3

Agency Power has one of the most innovative Can-Am X3 exhausts on the market. The company has taken its experience in high performance vehicle exhaust systems and applied that to the UTV market with this first of a kind valvetronic exhaust. A valvetronic exhaust is operated with a switch to open and close a valve that changes the path of the exhaust gases. By doing this, you can alter the sound and performance. Most exhaust systems on the market give you the loud all the time or don’t integrate the unique styling that Can-Am has done with their stock exhaust tip.

The Valvetronic is manufactured from T304 stainless steel tubing that is precision TIG welded. It features stainless steel mounting brackets and the spring retainer to use the factory or aftermarket catalytic converter pipe. The unique AP tips are also constructed from 18 gauge, stainless steel that are bolted to the exhaust with an integrated spark arrestor system. The dual tip design works with the factory plastic exhaust shielding. A custom Magnaflow muffler was designed for this project to give a nice tone when the exhaust valve is closed. Exhaust gases go through the resonator muffler and out of the left hand side tip. When the valve is opened, exhaust gases bypass the muffler and exit straight through the right side exhaust tip.

To operate the valvetronic exhaust, a custom made plug and play switch by XTC Powersports is included. The Agency Power exhaust is backed by an industry leading lifetime warranty.
